Staff at Steve Rich and Associates:
We would like to thank you very much for your friendly, prompt and efficient service. To complete the sale of our home we were faced with the last minute removal of an underground oil storage tank. As is typical, our closing date gave us almost no flexibility in scheduling.
Once we explained our situation to Juanita we were helped every step of the way including contract preparation, obtaining permits, scheduling and finally the tank removal and subsequent documentation. In addition to being efficient and meeting our schedule, everyone in the Steve Rich organization was friendly and helpful. Although having the tank removed was not our favorite task related to the move, working with the Steve Rich staff made it much, much easier.
In addition, when Greg arrived at our home on Tuesday he observed that the tree on the street in front of our house was becoming uprooted and leaning toward the building. He also noted the roots were close to the sewer, water and gas lines. We contacted the town and the tree was taken down that evening by an emergency crew. Thank you for helping to prevent what could have been a real disaster.
We highly recommend Steve Rich and Associates.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and recommend Steve Rich & Associates for their assistance, competence, and professionalism in the removal of my in ground
oil tank. Mr. Phil Chiellini, their sales rep, was always available to answer any questions concerning the tank removal process from the onset of this project t
through its conclusion.
Steve Rich also made me aware of the NJDEP Underground Storage Tank Fund which allows for financial reimbursement for tank removal. Steve Rich employee
Tracey O'Connell personally met with and assisted in completion of these complicated NJDEP reimbursement forms. Thanks to her invaluable cooperation I
was able to recover all of my financial expenditures for the tank removal.
Thank you again and keep up the good work.
Sincerely,
Michael O.

Steve Rich and Associates,
This is a first class operation from top to bottom. We hired Steve Rich and Associates to remove a heating fuel tank from the front yard of our house. The tank was located between two stone walls and a retaining wall.
Once we signed a contract and sent a deposit, SR&A took care of everything else. They arranged for permits and scheduled the visit by the city inspector. They kept us informed at every step of the process.
The day the tank was to be removed Wayne and his assistant arrived a couple of minutes early. They removed two shrubs and Wayne started digging with a backhoe. Within minutes he’d unearthed the tank. He removed not one bit of soil more than absolutely necessary. Both men examined the tank and had the SR&A tanker pump out the remaining fuel oil. Wayne’s assistant cut a hole in the tank, put on an environmental suit and climbed into the tank to get out any remaining fuel oil.
After the inspector arrived the tank was removed from the ground and placed above ground for inspection. There were no leaks and the tank was put on a truck for removal.
Wayne and his assistant filled the hole with clean fill and the original topsoil. They replaced the plants, leveled the soil, and cleaned the street and area in which they had been working. They put the backhoe on the truck and left.
While on site they were careful to not prevent my neighbors from being able to drive by on the narrow street. They were in every way professionals.

Hi Kelly,
Just wanted to let you know Wayne and his
crew did a great job yesterday removing the tank. As you know,
there were some holes.
When they come back to do additional work after the soil testing
I would like to request to have Wayne and his crew return since
we were so satisfied with his work.
Thanks,
Sandra

Subject: Oil Tank Removal
Phil,
Many thanks to you and your crew for doing a great job on our
tank removal yesterday. You really saved the day for us when we encountered
the
air conditioner problem. As you know, time is of the essence
to us as we want to get the house on the market soonest, so we are extremely
grateful
that you were able to make it happen yesterday. Your crew was
wonderful--they kept us informed every step of the way and were very
thorough and professional.
My mother is already telling all of her friends about you! Would
you please send her some of your business cards.
Would you also give me the url for the state reimbursement program
so I can get that going, as well as the name of the electrician
you use for the reconnection of the a/c.
Again, many thanks from
the P-------- Family.
Regards,
Carol

Steve Rich,
I just wanted to take the time and extend my sincere thank
you to Phil Chiellini and Kelly Born for an outstanding job in
the tank and soil remediation at 180 Hazel Avenue, Clifton.
To condense the story, 180 Hazel Avenue is a two-family owned
by a lovely 85 year old couple. After the house contracted, the
buyer did a tank test on an operation tank in the front yard om
March 15th and the tank failed. I immediately called Phil and
he faxed the paper work that day to remove the tank. The job was
rushed since the buyer's commitment expired in two and a half
weeks. The tank was removed, a new one was placed in the basement,
and soil samples were taken. Of the six samples taken, one failed
and one had an elevated reading. Needless to say, we were panicked.
The 85 year old couple was going to assisted living facility and
they were going to lose their apartment. Phil was fabulous at
rushing everything, as well as speaking to hysterical family members
who didn't understand the process. Dirt was carted away and the
soil was given a clean bill of health, but the buyer and buyer's
attorney were still nervous. Kelly Born was wonderful in explaining,
in detail, the paperwork that followed and gave the buyer and
attorney peace of mind to close on the deal.
We closed on the last day of the buyer's commitment. Phil
took my calls on his cell phone at all hours and on the weekend.
This never would have had such a favorable outcome if it weren't
for the dedication and competence of Phil and Kelly.
Thank you for the happy ending for an 85 year old couple
and a realtor who has complete trust in your company and Phil
Chiellini.
