Maintenance Mechanic, Truck Driver

Construction/trucking company is looking for a mechanic to run a small shop. The goal of the job is to keep equipment maintained and making minor repairs and scheduling maintenance. (Things like transmission and engine overhauls are sent out to dealers). The company employs a part time mechanic who works evenings when the trucks are back in the shop. Ability to weld is helpful but not a requirement. This is a diversified position with the onus on the following:

Specific responsibilities:

• Having drivers report to you.
• Keeping trucks in DOT compliance, drivers in compliance, organizing records.
• Moving equipment.
• Helping transport materials when necessary.


Requirements:

• Be detail oriented, self motivated and able to work alone and/or with an assistant.
